Twitter has been in the midst of a major retooling of its platform, and one of the company’s first monetization features is going live. It’s called Ticketed Spaces, and it’s a way for creators to charge their followers to attend their live events masstamilan.
The feature allows users to pay for access to a live audio conversation, similar to Clubhouse or Spotify Greenroom (Discord is also testing ticketed audio experiences on Stage Discovery). While the new option could encourage Twitter users to pay for exclusive content, it might be difficult to gauge whether that’s the right incentive for creators and audiences alike.
How It Works
The Ticketed Spaces function in Twitter Spaces lets you create a live event with a price tag that can range from $1 to $999, and users who purchase tickets will be able to listen to the conversation and speak with you at any time during the session. The app will also send out notifications to attendees about the event, which could help promote it further myvuhub.
You’ll be able to use Ticketed Spaces to host podcasts, live training sessions and AMAs. You can also earn a percentage of your revenue by selling tickets for these events.
Getting Started
To get started with Ticketed Spaces, you’ll need to meet certain requirements. For example, you’ll need to be a user with at least 1,000 followers and have hosted at least three Spaces within the last 30 days. To apply, simply open your Twitter mobile app and tap the “Monetization” tab teachertn.
Once you’ve met all the requirements, click “apply” to begin beta testing for Ticketed Spaces. Once you’ve completed the process, you’ll be notified that you’re eligible to sell tickets for your events.
You can then set the date and time for your Space, as well as how many tickets you’d like to sell. After you’ve done that, you can share it with your followers and let them know how they can purchase a ticket.
After your event is over, you’ll receive a notification in the app and your earnings will be deposited into your account approximately 45 days later. You’ll be able to see the total revenue you made after Apple and Google deduct fees from your ticket sales pagalsongs.
Ticketed Spaces is currently only available to iOS users, but it will be rolling out to Android users in the future. During the launch, Twitter will only accept a 3% cut of the profits from your ticket sales. Once these fees are removed, you’ll be able to receive up to 97% of your ticket revenue.
The fee for Ticketed Spaces is lower than Clubhouse and Spotify’s offerings, but it’s not as high as Patreon. Still, you can expect to make at least $50,000 in total from Ticketed Spaces, and it’s possible that the feature could eventually grow into something bigger yareel.
Twitter’s rebranding of Spaces as a paid branded product is a step toward bringing back the kind of robust conversation that the platform once had, and this is a key part of that plan. It’s also a way for Twitter to try and one-up competitors in attracting creators and users, boosting the amount of exclusive content that’s available on the platform. It’s a move that will hopefully encourage more people to pay for add-ons, and will keep Twitter users coming back.
