    Education in Primitive and Early Civilized Cultures

    There is a long history of education in primitive and early civilized cultures. Whether it was in the ancient Egyptian, Chinese, or Greek civilizations, people had a variety of educational opportunities. Some cultures, like the Mayans and Aztecs, were very advanced, and the ancient Japanese had a high level cseb  of education. However, it is also true that some of the primitive cultures were much simpler, and people did not have access to any of the same kinds of educational resources.

    An ancient civilization of great diversity, ancient Egypt lasted for over a thousand years. The long periods of prosperity and stability that accompanied it were bolstered by a rich, cultural tradition. Throughout its history, the people of this region have been invaded by foreign powers, which spelled trouble.

    Early in its history, ancient Egypt developed a system of government. There were several rulers who ruled Egypt over a period of centuries. However, the stability of the royal authority was not quiznet always consolidated. As time went on, the nobility gained power.

    In the Old Kingdom, the Egyptian economy was based on agriculture. During the rainy season, farmers harvested wheat. They then sowed it when the weather improved. When the Nile flooded, fertilization was provided by the water.

    During the early days of civilization, education was largely informal. The purpose was to train children to become good members of the tribe. In most societies, parents were responsible for this bgoti.

    During the Renaissance period, interest in the human body began to take hold. Many individuals maintained that a high level of physical fitness enhanced intellectual learning.

    Aristotle founded a prestigious school in Athens called the Lyceum. He was a philosopher. His students studied philosophy, mathematics, music, and law. They also learned to study and dissect animals and insects BBC Worldnews.

    Aristotle taught at the Lyceum from age 49 to 62. It was one of the most important schools of philosophy in ancient Greece.

    In primitive and early civilized cultures, education is an important part of culture. It is a process that is intended to guide children in learning how to be good members of their tribes. The process is designed to promote and control cultural deviation, enculturate, and prepare children for their role in society.

    Education in ancient China was based on a master-pupil relationship. Teachers were not expected to explain lessons, but rather were asked to teach a selected number of individuals. They imparted historical dlmlifestyle knowledge to their pupils.

    Among the important objectives of education were moral and character training, vocational training, and cultural conservation. Schools were considered an indispensable part of the social order.
